How to solve error 2801 in Canon Printers

Error Code 2801

The document is jammed in the ADF.

NOTE - The power cannot be turned off while the machine is sending or receiving a fax, or when the received fax or the unsent faxes are stored in the machine's memory. Make sure the machine completed sending or receiving all faxes before disconnecting the power cord. If you unplug the power cord, all the faxes stored in the machine's memory are deleted.
1.      If you press the [Stop] button during scanning the document will stay where it is in the ADF and a message will appear on the LCD. Press the [OK] button and the machine will feed the document out of the ADF.
2.      If the original gets jammed in the ADF press the [Stop] button to cancel printing.
3.      Turn off the machine.
4.      Remove any pages other than the jammed page from the ADF, and then open the document feeder cover.

5.      Pull out the jammed document from the ADF.
6.      Close the document feeder cover and then turn on the machine.

7.      If the document is jammed in the document output slot, close the document tray as shown in the figure below and pull out the document.

Note -
The document may not feed properly depending on the media type, or your environment, such as when the temperature and humidity are either too high or too low. In this case, reduce the number of document pages to approximately half of the loading capacity. If the document still jams, use the platen glass instead.
When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

How to Fix Error Code E13 and 1686 in Canon MX Series Printers

Error Code: 1686/E13

Description

The ink may have run out.

Resolution
1.      Replace the empty ink cartridges.
Canon recommends using new genuine Canon cartridges in order to obtain optimum qualities.
Please view the compatible ink cartridges for your machine using our
PIXMA ink finder.

NOTE -  Since the information contained in the fax may be lost if it is printed in this condition, the received fax will not be printed and will be stored in the machine's memory until the ink cartridge is replaced. You must manually print out faxes that were stored in the memory. You can change the setting so that the received fax is forcibly printed out instead of being stored in the memory, but all or part of the fax information may not be printed because of the ink out condition.
If the above solution has not resolved your error, please contact Canonauthorised service facility.

Remove jammed paper or foreign object from inside the printer (MG3120)

Stop printing, then push the power button of the printer to turn OFF the printer.
Open the paper output cover of the printer, and if you find a jammed paper or foreign material is inside the printer, remove it.

After checking the above items, push the power button to turn ON the printer again.

When removing the jammed paper or foreign material, take extra care so that you do not touch the inner parts. Or, it may cause another printing problem.

I get error code B200 on my Pixma MG5320 and can't reset/disable it. Is my printhead fried? Can this be fixed?

He Canon B200 error certainly ranks as one of the more common issues and certainly one of the most the bedeviling error codes a Canon user will come across. First, let's look at the root of the error message so we may bring to light the variety of possible solutions.
If you have read other portions of this website, you may already know of the fork in the road in inkjet-based printing. One path is the HP-based Pizeo-electric crystal approach. A Pizeo-crystal vibrates when electricity is applied to it. This creates a push and pull of the ink to the media. Contrast this to the Canon bubble jet system.
Imagine if you will on an ultra-fine scale, the rubber nipple on a baby bottle. If you have ever overheated a baby's bottle, you have already experienced the baby's forthcoming meal shooting out the top of the nipple like some miniature Mount Vesuvius. While the thermodynamic law in a baby bottles application is messy and annoying, Canon engineers use the principle for printing.
In comparison to HP ink, the ink supply for a Canon printer is much thicker and more like oil, almost tar like. Behind the nipple is an electrical resistor that produces heat. Therefore, the same thermodynamic laws apply, and a droplet of ink 'bubbles out' of the nozzle.
The resistor needs electricity from a high-voltage section and feedback from the printhead about what is going on in the active bubble land. When something has gone awry in this sub process, the canon b200 error error occurs.

Canon b200 Error, Troubleshooting

Replace ink cartridges if they are empty

At the risk of stating the obvious (frequently not so obvious in the heat of the moment), find out if the ink cartridges are empty. When in doubt, try a new cartridge to fix canon error b200.

A data cable of print head is open

Did you just replace an ink cartridge? Perhaps you shifted a data cable to the print head.

Bad power adapter

Is the power supply (internal or external) failing to generate enough electrical juice to get the resistors hot enough for the laws of thermodynamics to occur (creating a bubble of ink).

It should be noted that for the Canon printers that use a separate (not integrated) printhead, there is a finite lifespan to the dozens of microsizedbaby bottle nipples. Just like the kids bottle, the rubber/silicon nozzle does wear out.

Turn off the printer for some time

In other troubleshooting tips here at printerspecial.blogspot.com we have advised any inkjet printer not seeing regular usage to run a test print page. For those of you making heavy usage of a Canon inkjet printer, consider getting a coffee break, while giving your printer a break too. This will avoid saturating the printhead with heat, prolonging useful service life.

Update the printer driver to fix Canon error b200

If you have followed all this and you're still screaming, "no joy!? From the printer menu (not computer) push the buttons to get a demo or test page. If everything is hunky-dory when you do this, however, you get the service error code B200 when you try to produce something productive, odds are good, the print driver the computer is using has gone south (corrupt).
When printing on a network, a corrupt printer driver can spread like an unwanted virus. Depending on the network, a driver that has gone rogue may be seen as an updated driver, which network will 'helpfully spread' as an update.

How to perform the wireless LAN setup using WPS connection (Windows)

Make sure that the computer and access point or router are connected.

After confirming the connection, perform the following instructions to add (connect) the machine to the network.

A: Internet
B: Access point or wireless router, etc.
- Notes on Wireless Connection
  • The configuration, router functions, setup procedures and security settings of the network device vary depending on your system environment. For details, refer to your device?s instruction manual or contact its manufacturer.
  • Check if your device supports IEEE802.11n/g/b.
  • In an office setup, consult your network administrator.
  • If you connect to a network that is not protected with security measures, there is a risk of disclosing data such as your personal information to a third party.
  • If an error message appears or if you have trouble with the network connection, refer to the printed manual: Network Setup Troubleshooting.
When using a router, connect the machine and computer to the LAN side (same network segment).
For details on WPS, refer to the manual of your access point.

Use the Menu button (A) to select Device settings.
