How to Fix Error E04 and 1687 in Canon MX Series Printers



Error Code: 1687/E04

Description

The FINE cartridge is not installed properly.

Resolution

1.      Retract the output tray extension and the paper output tray, open the cover, and then remove the FINE cartridges.
2.      Then re-install the FINE cartridges, push the FINE cartridge until it clicks into place.
3.      Close the cover. 


   If the above solution has not resolved your error, please contact Canon authorised service 855-517-2433.

    I have a pixma mp237 that gets error 1687, I followed everything that has been said here and I still get the same error, so what do you suggest I do?
