How to solve error 6A90 or "APP sensor error" on Canon printers

Error code 6A90 or "APP sensorerror" occured during paper feeding or purging.

Solution 1:
  • check for foreign material or paper debris around the purge drive system unit;
    - remove foreign material.

Disable ink level on Canon printers

Here are some solutions to disable ink level on some Canon printers.


Solution 1: 
  • Press "Resume/Cancel" button. It works on these Canon printers: 
  • BJC series: bjc3000, bjc8200
  • S series: s400, s600, s800, s520, s6300, s9000
  • I Series: i255, i320, i350, i355, i450, i470d, i550, i560, i850, i950, i6100, i6500, i9100
  • Pixma series: ip1000, ip1200, ip1300, ip1500, ip1600, ip1700, ip2000, ip2200, ip3000, ip4000

Solution 2: 
  • Hold on "Resume/cancel" button at least 5 seconds. It works on these Canon printers: 
  • Pixma series: ip1880, ip1980, ip3300, ip3500, ip4200, ip4500, ip5200, ip6700d, pro9000, 9500, ix4000, ix5000
Solution 3: 
  • Press on the "Start" button, then on "Color" for the color cartridge or "Black" button for the black cartridge. It works on these Canon printers: 
  • Pixma MP series: MP150, MP160, etc 
Solution 4: 
  • Hold on "Stop/Reset" button at least 5 seconds. It works on these Canon printers:
  • Pixma MP/MX series: MP145, MP228, MP245, MP520, MP800, MX850, MP970, MX308, MX318, MX7600, etc
